I was overweight from age 5. I yo-yo dieted my way through my teens and twenties. I had 5 sizes of clothes in my wardrobe. I was constantly craving food. I rarely felt full and always wanted to eat more, even though I knew I should be full. I felt like I had no off-switch. I would eat to much and then feel guilty and ashamed. Food and weight were constantly on my mind. I felt out of control.

I wanted to change, and felt angry and frustrated with myself as I knew what I should do, but couldn’t seem to do it. Although I knew I shouldn't be hungry, I still wanted to eat. I tried different diets, but the weight always went back on. It seemed like I was destined to be overweight.

I thought I didn’t have the willpower. I just needed to find it.
